Daily yoga classes are held in our spacious airy yoga shala at our calm locations. These are open to all, both in-house guests as well as people who want drop-in yoga classes.The different styles offer our students the opportunity to pick a class that will fit the pace they desire.
OUR YOGA SHALAS
Being conveniently located in Poonthope in Ashramam Ward, a quiet suburb in North part of Alleppey in Kerala, we are easily accessible for people visiting/holidaying around Alleppey Backwatwers/Town or Marari area. Our retreat is also reached on From Alleppey Railway/Bus station in around 15 – 20 minutes.

The styles of Yoga taught in our retreat is mainly Classical Hatha Yoga, Sivananda. We have in-house teachers and apart from this we sometimes have guest teachers who come and teach Ashtanga / Vinyasa Flow yoga at Sambodhi.
YOGA FOR BEGINNERS
Great for beginners but all levels welcome! Monday Wednesday and Friday 6.00-7.00
Class for those starting yoga, getting back to Yoga practice, or revitalizing current practice for fresh insight.The invigorating morning classes are the perfect way to breathe life into your morning and meet the day with energy, warmth, and positivity.

GENTLE YOGA MEDITATION
(Level I/II) but all levels welcome!- Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday 7.30-8.30,
Amix Gentle Hatha will include some standing asanas (poses) that will warm the body up and some restorative poses that collectively will balance mind and body. The Asanas teach poise, balance and strength that will prepare the body and mind for restorative poses and meditation. Pranyama, breathing techniques, will be incorporated to promote stress relief, peace and tranquility that can be used on and off the mat in daily life. Class ideal for beginners or advanced practitioners. No previous yoga experience necessary!

ONE-TO-ONE CLASSES : PRIVATE YOGA
A private yoga session is a unique opportunity to work one-to-one with one of our experienced yoga teachers. You get the undivided attention of the teacher and unlimited postural correction, asana adjustment, breath awareness and meditation throughout the class.
These sessions are great if you are new to yoga or if you wish to go deeper into your existing practice. Our teachers can explain various yoga practices in a safe environment suited to your needs. This will in turn help you to get the most out of the group classes.
MEDITATION
Even if you have never done meditation before, you will learn some simple ways to incorporate this powerful spiritual practice into your life. Meditation has enormous benefits for the body, mind and spirit, from releasing body tension to gaining more clarity about your life path.
Learn more about meditation and go deeper into the practice one-to-one with your teacher. During the session you will learn about various meditation techniques and find the one that is right for you.
PRANAYAMA (BREATH CONTROL)
Pranayama originates from two Sanskrit words; ‘Prana’ and ‘Ayam’ which roughly translate as ‘Life Force’ and ‘Extension/Control’ respectively. Taken as one of the limbs from Patanjali´s Yoga Sutras, its importance is extensive within all Yogic practices.
Well known to be beneficial in treating a range of stress related orders by balancing the autonomic system, practitioners may also find that the practice can help to balance the mind.
Within a session we will explore the full breath (many people ´under-breathe`) to maximize our exposure to the ´Life-force` and then look at one of the many specific techniques depending on your desires.

You are also welcome to join any of our other yoga sessions (Meditation, Yoga Philosophy, Yoga Nidra, or you may wish to join us for a Detox (Yogic-Kriya) program.
A delicious Breakfast, Lunch and dinner are also available to our drop-in guests and can be booked at reception.
Zazen Meditation
(Beginner-All Levels )
Zazen means seated meditation. Part of Zen practice is taking time every day
to sit in a balanced position in which the mind and body are allowed to relax and focus.
Regularly mediation helps you clear your mind and increase your ability of concentration,
as a result, better stress management and more productive .
Here is a list of the Zen meetings currently offered:
Daily Zazen 5.30am-6.00am,
Tuesday,Wenseday,Friday,Saturday Evening Zazen 6.30pm-7.00pm
Monday Evening Zazen 6.30pm-7.30pm at Zendo: weekly formal Zen practice comprising 1 Zazen period, Kinhin, Heart Sutra and Tea Ceremony (Dana Rs 100).
Thursday Evening Zazen 6.00pm-7.30pm at Zendo: weekly formal Zen practice comprising 2 Zazen periods, Kinhin and a talk or discussion relating to Zen practice (Dana Rs 100).
(Intro to Zazen 6.00 pm -7.30 pm replaces the normal meeting on the first Thursday of each month. The format is flexible and will be adjusted according to the needs of participants.)
